Fundraisers that support McKee PTA

PTA spends about $65 per student in order to provide all of our programs and activities throughout the year. The fundraising activities listed below provide the vast majority of the funds that we need for the year.

We sincerely appreciate your support, and we hope that this list will help you plan out your year and will allow you to decide which events/activities are most suited to your family.

Fall Event

The annual Walk-a-Thon is a fun, healthy, fundraising event for McKee PTA. McKee students are asked to gather family and friends to sponsor them as they walk laps around our soccer field. This is a great way to donate to the PTA without having to buy anything!

The event is held during the school day. Different grades are assigned time slots for their walk. Families are welcome to attend and walk with their children for an additional donation of only $5!

100% of every donation goes to the PTA!

Sarris Candy

October - March

Every year, McKee PTA holds Sarris Candies fund-raisers. We traditionally have a sale in November for Christmas items. Depending on the success of our other fundraisers for the year, we sometimes also hold another Sarris sale again in the Spring for Easter items. Please take this opportunity to stock up on Sarris Candies and support the McKee PTA at the same time.

Approximately 30% of your Sarris purchase goes to the PTA.

Winter Event

Each year, the PTA sponsors an exciting, prize-filled evening of Bingo for all McKee students and their families. While enjoying a fun night out with the family, you can also support the PTA!

Volunteer opportunities include event
planning and coordination, soliciting donations, baking cookies, working the event, and donating auction/prize items.

Other ways to support McKee PTA

In addition to our school fundraisers, there are other ways to earn money for McKee by just shopping as you normally do. By taking a few minutes to register some of your Loyalty Cards, you can earn money for McKee every day!

Box Tops are worth 10¢ for McKee PTA. We can use Box Tops cash to support our programs. (Click the Box Tops icon above or the button below for a list of products that have Box Tops on them.)

There are now two ways to earn money from Box Tops:

    1. Clip Box Tops from products you use every day and send them into school with your child. Put them in a bag or attach them to a Collection Sheet. Just be sure to put your Child's Teacher Name on the bag/sheet so that the class will get credit.
    1. Scan your store receipts that contain Box Tops products on them into the Box Tops app. This must be done within 2 weeks of purchase. Be sure to click 'Give Credit' and enter your Child's Teacher Name. (Search 'BTFE' in the App Store or Google Play Store.)
